ILITE Wins Innovation Award

ILITE Robotics won the prestigious Innovation in Control Award at the US FIRST Robotics Competition Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. The Innovation in Control Award celebrates a system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical or software – to provide unique machine functions. The award has been sponsored by Rockwell Automation since 2007. Rockwell Automation is a proud champion of young people’s interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. By sponsoring the award Rockwell Automation hopes to encourage young people to pursue careers in engineering and technology. ILITE Robotics won the award in the Galileo Division with their design that included a Heads Up Display Capability. The team traveled to the national competition after winning the Chairman's Award at the National Capital Regional competition in March.
