DC United STEM Night
US FIRST of DC, DC United, Leidos and the US STEM Foundation held a STEM Night on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at RFK Stadium.
Four area high schools brought their FRC robots to the pitch at RFK stadium and demonstrated their capabilities. The event coordinated by Don Brobst of US FIRST DC Office exposed DC area students and parents to technology and gave children the opportunity to interact with the students and their creations. The US STEM Foundation subsidized tickets for more that 150 area students that DC United discounted as part of their community outreach programs. Leidos, the DC United Team Sponsor and national technology leader, sponsored the event and gave US FIRST scoreboard time to promote STEM education.
